Green Cardamom CCS1 Variety Sapling

The CCS1 variety stands as an early maturing option ideal for high-density planting. Characterized by elongated panicles, sizeable oblong capsules, and a vivid parrot-green hue, it belongs to the Malabar type cultivar. These cardamom plants exhibit a medium stature, ultimately reaching heights of 2-3 meters upon maturity. The upper side of the leaves might present a pubescent or glabrous texture. Panicles manifest a prostrate arrangement, while the fruits take on a spherical to oblong shape. Best suited for elevations ranging from 600 to 1200 meters, this variety showcases relatively heightened resistance against thrips. It thrives even when subjected to low and seasonal rainfall conditions. Predominantly cultivated in Karnataka, it also finds a lesser presence in the states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
