Every economic activity produces some kind of waste and paper waste is the most common amongst these. Paper weaving is an old Japanese tradition. You can now own an up cycled and transformed piece of this ancient tradition in the form of a functional, stylish Foldover Clutch.
Design Details:
The entire bag is made with newspaper strips handspun and hand woven along with cotton, here in Jaipur. The inside has a recycled rubber sheet for effective, natural and sustainable padding (instead of chemical based neoprene used in most cases). The lining is made of recycled cotton fabric (excess from Garment Industry) which is beautifully soft. The inside pockets are stitched with the same fabric and can accommodate your coin change, charger as well as a note book/pens etc. making it super convenient. The closure is made with antique brass zipper.

We support rural livelihoods in Jaipur by providing them space to help continue traditional skills and indigenous knowledge with UNCONVENTIONAL materials.
